  • Avoid sarcasm and dismissive language

Respect boundaries

  • Honor people’s time and attention
  • Accept “no” or “not now” as complete answers
  • Don’t pressure others to engage

Handle disagreements professionally

  • Focus on ideas, not people
  • Assume good intentions

Unacceptable Behavior

We don’t tolerate:

  • Personal attacks or insults
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Public or private intimidation
  • Sharing others’ private information without consent
  • Sustained disruption of discussions

Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness problematic behavior:

  1. Direct approach: If comfortable, politely point out the issue to the person involved
  2. Community leads: Contact any OpenPlanetary team member

All reports will be handled confidentially. Our team will:

  • Acknowledge receipt promptly
  • Investigate fairly and impartially
  • Take appropriate action to resolve the situation

Consequences

Violations may result in:

  • Private warning and education
  • Temporary suspension from community spaces
  • Permanent removal from the community

We reserve the right to take action based on behavior both within and outside our community spaces if it affects the safety of our members.

Your Role

Everyone in our community helps maintain these standards:
